How do I find out about the AHIS / AHPG units?
The University Handbook (Hardcopy and online) lists all the available units http://handbook.mq.edu.au/
Select ‘Units’ from left; then ‘Units by Code’ from the central menu; then either ‘AHIS’ or 'AHPG' from the central menu.
Unit Guides provided by your lecturers at the beginning of each semester also contain valuable information.
How can I understand all the university terminology, e.g. pre-requisite, co-requisite, GPA, Program of Study, Coherent Study, etc., etc., etc. ?

What is a course / unit guide and why do I have one?

How do I add or drop a unit?
Change of Unit Enrolment is for students who are currently enrolled but wish to change their study program by enrolling or withdrawing from any units or change any class times. Take good note of dates from when Academic or Financial penalty will apply.

How much study is required at university level?
Three hours of study per credit point per week is recommended. For example:

Where can I find past exam papers?
Past examination papers can be found in hardcopy in the Library (near the red shelves opposite the photocopy room on L3), and some on-line through the Library Catalogue on e-Reserve under your unit code.
How do I find out my exam timetable?
Go to http://www.timetables.mq.edu.au/exam/ and type in your student ID.
OR
login in to your myMQ Student Portal https://my.mq.edu.au
Select the Student Communications tab, you’ll find your timetable.
How do I access my results at the end of the semester?
Login to e-Student: https://student1.mq.edu.au
Click on ‘Results’ at left.
Why can’t I access my results?
You may have unpaid library fines.
Present your Student ID card at the cashier at the SES (Student Enquiry Service) Lincoln Building, Level 1 and pay the fine.

What is student email?
All Macquarie students are issued with an official University email account. It is University policy that the University issued email account will be used for official University communication. All students are required to access their University account frequently. Alternatively, Email can be forwarded to another account but each student is responsible for the information sent to a non-Macquarie account and for managing mailbox size to ensure that account remains active.
Your email account can be accessed via the portal, myMQ at https://my.mq.edu.au
To Sign On to the portal use your Student Number, and your original MQID password (i.e. 2 random characters followed by your date of birth in ddmmyy format).
Your Email Address can be viewed in the portal.
How do I forward my student email to another email account?
In your student (g)email account, click on ‘Settings’ at top right.
Select the ‘Forwarding and POP/IMAP’ tab.
Then type in the email address in corresponding ‘Forwarding’ box.
Save changes.

Present your Student ID and purchase either a monthly, yearly and half-yearly campus parking permit from the Cashier at the Student Enquiry Service C8A Level 1 (Lincoln Building).
Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays and the short Christmas break).
Daily entry permits are available to visitors from dispensing machines located within carparks.
Permits are available from January.
Purchase early to avoid the queues!

Full-time Australian citizens and residents are eligible for a transport concession sticker. Take your enrollment and registration advice, along with your Student ID card to C5C 244 in weeks 1 and 2 of semester, or to Student Enquiry Service C8A, Level 1 (Lincoln Building) from week 3 onwards.Fill in the green form.
